Communications & Events
|
|
The Communications
and Events Committee is focused on telling our life science and biotechnology
story.
Members will support all three of the other
committees in terms of necessary marketing functions. This committee
will also forge partnerships with other groups, associations and councils
related to the industry. Most importantly, the Communications
and Events Committee is responsible
for developing creative means to build the bioOrlando brand.
OBJECTIVES
- Build local
awareness of the depth and breadth of Metro Orlando's life science
industry.
- Build awareness
and support for bioOrlando.
- Educate
Florida legislators about the infrastructure requirements of the state's
growing life science industry. Build support for funding key initiatives
with the ability to impact this industry's growth in our state.
- Serve as
an information clearinghouse for the region's life science and biotechnology
industry.
- Work with the Metro
Orlando EDC’s public
relations team to collect and disseminate information about the region’s
life science/biotechnology industry to media on local, national and
international basis.

shared with Florida
legislators. Determine process through which that information will
be shared with legislators.

national,
and international efforts to create new relationships and market
life science and biotechnology activities.

resource information for active publicity and strategic marketing.
